Ellie's birthday party

As you know, Ellie is Haley's best friend! She will even tell you that! They don't see each other as much anymore, but they still talk about each other! Ellie turned 3 five days before Haley and they went to JW Tumbles for her party. I was in NYC, so I was unable to go. I heard nothing but great things about the party though! Here are some pics from the wonderful time!

Haley loves climbing the ladder! She did this at her first gymnastics class.

Kiptyn with his buddies Colin and Charlie.

A cute pic of the two of them!

He loves to climb stairs!

And I guess he liked to come down a slide at the top of those stairs!

Haley walked around with her play doh for days after the party! She even slept with it!

Peek!

Time for pizza and cake!

Thank you Durham family for such a wonderful time! Happy Birthday Ellie!

Kiptyn's latest doc appts

Kiptyn had his milk test yesterday and he PASSED!!! It was a 3 hour appt in the office to monitor him if he has a reaction to the milk. It was a LONG morning! They started with 1 mL, then you wait 15 mins and then they go up to 2 mL and so on. The last one is 90 mL and then you have to wait 45 mins to see if there is any reaction. They also took his blood pressure every 15 mins to see if there were any spikes or dips. It was rough, but overall he did ok. He was just cranky cause he was so hungry!

This morning he had his first bowl of yogurt! It was so exciting to be able to feed the kids the same food! He of course loved it. He even has a cup of milk this morning. Of course he hasn't drank it, but he has taken some sips! It's so nice to not have to check the labels before giving him some food!

We also had a pulmonologist appt right after the allergy appt, so we were in the office for 4 hours! He didn't have too much to say other than he looks and sounds great! Which of course is great news! We have to keep doing the nebulizer treatments and start giving him nose spray before bed. We just have to keep his nose and airways clear and we should be all good! I really do like our new pulmonologist, he is much more helpful! He also called us cute yesterday! Talk about bonus points! ha. We will continue what we are doing and go back in two months.

Last week he had another swallow study and he doesn't aspirate anymore! He has some penetration, but it doesn't go into his airway. So we have started the sippy cup and he is on thin liquids! It has been an exciting week! Things are starting to look up!

We go for another synagis shot today, if of course we can get out of our driveway! It is a sheet of ice.

All for now, we see the GI doc on Friday for another follow up. We are doing well with that as well as we have been on miralax for about 2 weeks now and he has had solid poops since Sat! Like I said, we are getting there!

Yesterday he was 25 pounds and 4.4 ounces and just over 32 inches tall (which could be wrong as he was 32.5 at his 1 year checkup). You know how those measuring things go when they are small, not exactly accurate! We will see what they say on Friday!

Happy 3rd Birthday Haley!!

I know we are a couple days late, I didn't have the pictures to post!
I can't believe that we are actually wishing Haley a happy 3rd birthday! Time sure does fly!

Here she is right after she was born! What a cutie!
You were about a month old in this one!

Today she went to the GI doctor and she is 36.5 pounds (with a full diaper) and 38 inches tall! What a big girl! We won't have our 3 year check up until the end of next month because our doc is having a hip replacement tomorrow. So those stats will have to do for now. She amazes us everyday with the things she says and does! Some good, some bad!

Today she was telling mimi and papi how to drive! "No, you need to turn right here instead!" She tells me all the time when the light is green, to go mommy go.

"You're silly daddy (or mommy)"

"No mommy, we share."

There are just too many good ones to remember and write down! Everything is three hours according to her.

She also told daddy today, "I love mommy. I don't love daddy." I was out to dinner with a friend.

When I am with her she tells me, "Mommy I miss you so much."

She also likes to be a great big sister! Or should I say another mommy. I often hear, "No Kiptyn, you can't have that, you're allergic." Or just plain "No Kiptyn."

Just too cute.

She goes to preschool twice a week for 3 hours and loves it. She is a little smarty (sometimes too much for her own good!). We have a parent teacher conference next week!

She is still super shy though! She doesn't like to be the center of attention to big crowds...we noticed this at her birthday party the other day. She just wasn't herself and wouldn't eat or even blow our her candles. It takes her a while to warm up to people.

Letter to Haley.

Haley,

Mommy and daddy are very proud of you and the little girl you have become. You have grown up so quickly! There isn't an hour in the day that goes by that we don't smile by something you have said or done. You are super cute. We love your hugs and kisses and sweet words. You are such a great big sister too! We know that a lot has happened in your second year of life and we hope that it has a positive impact on you and the long life ahead of you. You have taught mommy and daddy a lot about how to enjoy life a day at a time. We thank you for cheering us up when we need it the most and for kissing our boo boos as well. You have kept mommy and daddy going this year! We love you very much. We hope that you have a wonderful third year and you continue to blossom. We love you.
Hugs and kisses,

Mommy and Daddy

Disney Day 3

On the third day we went to Epcot because we had reservations for lunch at the Bierhaus in Germany. It is an all you can eat German buffet...what could be wrong with that? Not a thing! It was yummy! They even had a German band that played twice while we were there, it was neat. Haley and Kiptyn really enjoyed it. We made our way from Downtown Disney to Epcot by way of the Swan Resort. From the Swan we took the ferry to Epcot, it was something different, just took forever!

This piece of chocolate work is in the Swan.

All chocolate!

The details of exactly how much chocolate, etc it took to make.

The guy who did it.

We walked in and the monkey was the first thing we saw!

Haley and Kiptyn amused by the band!

They gave out chocolate coins...so of course she had to go get one!

Haley and I waited in line to see Mexican Donald, while we were waiting for our fast pass time.

This is Duffy! He is a new character, started by a stuffed animal that Mickey gave to Minnie.

How cute is this?

Fam with the famous Epcot ball!

So BIG! Waiting in line to see the main characters!

We first met Mickey, of course! He gave Haley hugs!

Fam with Mickey.

Kids with Mickey.

Pluto!

Minnie! She loved Haley's shirt!

Donald cracked me up! He saw Haley's shirt that said, "I'm cute and I know it" and went crazy. He was pointing to the I'm cute part and was acting out that it was him. Too funny.

So we had to do a fam pic with Donald!

Goofy was last! Not as Goofy as you expected him to be!

A pretty fountain.

We took the Living with the Land boat ride. It was pretty cool. They grow all their own veggies and they serve them in all the restaurants.

LT with Kiptyn in their shell for the Nemo ride. It was cool, but nothing special!

Haley in the shell.

Kiptyn checking out the fish before we went to hear the turtle from the Nemo movie talk to the humans!

Haley enjoying the fish!

It was a fun day!
