All of Kiptyn's doc appts

Wednesday was physical therapy for his torticollis. It was definitely interesting. The receptionist asked if he was there for speech therapy, I thought that was pretty funny as he is sleeping in his carrier. The therapist was very nice and she worked with him doing some stretches and assessment. We have to go back once a week for 4 weeks and then assess again. She gave us home stretches and exercises to do at home. We hope that he doesn't have to wear a helmet as one side of his head is flat. Apparently it messes up their ear flow which causes more ear infections, sinus problems and one other thing. Lets hope we don't get to that point, especially now that it is warm outside.
On Thursday we saw the GI doctor and spoke with him about his reflux and his screaming. He wants to do some tests to see if it is really even reflux or something else is going on. With the meds that he is on, he should be doing ok. On Monday he is getting an esophageal pH monitor or called an impedance monitor. This is what is says it does: It provides direct physiologic measurement of acid in the esophagusand is the most objective method to document reflux disease, assess the severity of the disease and monitor the response of the disease to medical or surgical treatment.

He will get the monitor put in on Monday morning and then we go back on Tuesday for the removal of it. I will take some pictures when he has it in. I have no idea what this entails and can't find the info online anywhere. I'm sure he will be a happy boy then! ha.

Then we have PT on Wednesday again. So glad I am keeping busy running from doctor to doctor.

We will update about these later!

Potty time

Yesterday morning, Haley decided that she wanted to be a big girl and go potty. She was already half naked and diaper half off...so I helped her get undressed and she went to go get her potty out of the bathroom and brought it into the bedroom. She sat down and sure enough she peed! :) The rest of the day she didn't say anything else about going, so I didn't push it. Well that evening when we were getting in pj's with Ellie, she wanted to go the potty again. So we went to the big potty and peed again! :) She did it one more time that evening before leaving their house.
She slept on the way home and that was that! 3 times in the potty all by herself!

Today, she went pee in her potty again while I was in the shower. We then went to the Reston Zoo and she said nothing. She napped and woke up and went potty again, this time she had to caca. LT put her on her potty in the bathroom and walked away to attend to Kiptyn. She was so proud that she cacad in the bathroom...well in the bathroom it was, just not in the potty! She had cacad on the floor and then proceeded to caca some more in Kiptyn's room and then pee there too. What fun!

That was our adventures of potty time the past two days. We will see what tomorrow brings us.

Hanging out at home

Kisses for Kiptyn

Haley's new thing is to close her eyes when she sees that the picture will be taken.

Kiptyn's first bite from a spoon

The doc said we could start giving rice cereal from a spoon, so we tried it that night.

Here comes the first bite!

And it's everywhere!

A happy lil man! Love that lil smile.

We haven't tried it since then.

Kiptyn's 4 month appt

Kiptyn has his four month appt last Thursday and it went well. He is a lil chunker! He got 3 shots and an oral one. He screamed his head off as usual, but I blame that on the hunger too! He has torticollis, in which his head is tilted one way and his chin the other way. So he wants us to see a physical therapist for....we went yesterday, that will be another post.

Self portrait while we wait to see the doc.

Look at that face!

Right before getting his shots, ouch.

Stats:
Weight- 16 pounds 3 ounces
Height- 27 inches (I think it's a lil off)
Head- 40.64 cm

That was the excitement of that trip. He a growing lil sumo!

Big sister

Haley has been a great help around here!

She likes to feed Kiptyn.

Even holding him!

It is really cute. She tells us if he is up or sleeping.

The new words she says everyday is just amazing. I love it.

First post

So we start our first post on this new blog with some pictures with our friends from last night. We went to Sarah's game night and hung out. Haley played with Ellie and Kiptyn chilled with Charlie. We all had a good time.

This is the size difference of 10 weeks.

Aren't they just the cutest?

The girls checking out their brothers!

All 4 kids. So cute.

Not sure what kind of face Ryan is making....but they just finished kissing, maybe that has something to do with it! ha. Ellie and Sarah are watching the romance.

Hopefully, I will be able to keep up with the blog now that there is only one and maybe it will keep my mind off other things. Worth a try.
