Disney day 2

The next morning we decided to do Magic Kingdom! We all went together and got it out of the way and then everyone could do their own thing from then on. We took the bus from the hotel to the transportation center which we then had to take the monorail to the MK.

Haley on the bus!

Daddy, Kiptyn and Mimi on the bus.

Mickey ears on the Contemporary Resort wall.

Right as we got there we spoke with someone who was important there and he told us there was going to be a dance party parade and to go to the circle in front of the castle, so that is where we headed.

The fam on Main Street.

Kiptyn and I with the castle background.

Watching the parade. Kiptyn loved it, he was dancing and bouncing around!

Kiptyn and daddy.

The whole gang. Haley, mommy, daddy, Kiptyn, Mimi, Uncle Eric, Auntie Olivia and Papi in front of the castle!

We then all headed to It's a Small World since we all wanted to do it together. We waited about 20 minutes, which wasn't too bad.

Kiptyn with Unlcle E and Papi on the boat.

Kiptyn was so tired from all the It's a Small World excitement that he passed out in the stroller while we were trying to figure out what was next.

Auntie O, mommy, Haley, Frontier Donald Duck and daddy

Uncle E bought a huge turkey leg, so Auntie O had to try it!

Of course if there is food, Haley has to try some! She loved it till she bit into a bone!

After lunch, while mommy, Haley, Papi, Auntie and Uncle went to wait in line for the Pirates of the Caribbean daddy and Kippy hung out with Goofy (how fitting)!

Photo op with Goofy.

Mimi and Kippy hanging out!

After the Pirates ride, which Haley was scared through we walked into a parade! We had to watch it because we couldn't cross the path to get to the train ride for our FastPasses!

Haley on mommy's shoulders.

Kiptyn on Uncle E's shoulders.

Haley waved to all the characters as they went by! It was super cute.

After some rides of just adults and while LT didn't want to get wet on Splash Mountain Haley got to play in a small playground for toddlers. Now if only they had a crawlers section!

Whee!
After getting soaked on Splash Mountain, Uncle E and Auntie O called it a day with Mimi and Papi! So the fam decided that we could take the train around the park and then end up in Toontown where H could play some more.

Daddy and the kids on the train.

Haley sliding.

And climbing!

Then we decided to wait in line to meet the princesses!
Haley and Kippy in the stroller together! It didn't last long of course!

First we met Cinderella!

Haley got a hug from Cinderella.

Then we met Belle and Kiptyn was very enamored by a pretty lady! He just couldn't keep his eyes off her!

Then she couldn't keep her eyes off him! ;)

Lastly we met Sleeping Beauty and took a family picture with her.

She then told Kiptyn that she will mark him so no other princesses can claim him! What a lucky little boy. I have a feeling this is how our future is going to be!

Look at the mark on his forehead!

K and H playing with very large sized Mickey and Minnie!

Walking back to the exit we of course had to take a picture in front of the castle at night. This picture does it no justice. We are trying to play around with the camera settings. But at least you get to see us!

A rare event!

This one is pretty good!
There ended up being a performance in front of the castle that we watched while K slept. It was cute. They did a nutcracker piece and sang some Christmas songs.

On the walk back to the front, Haley then passed out.

How cute!

It gave us a chance to go through the sweet shop....and look what I found! I really really wanted it, but passed it up. :(

Day 2 was a success and a lot of fun!

Our first family Disney trip! Day 1

We all left to Orlando last Tuesday bright and early in the morning! We got everyone up at 445am and drove to National airport. We checked in, dropped the bags and LT went to meet Papi at the Hyatt to go back to the airport. Then we got some TGI Fridays breakfast and headed through the security line. What fun that was! They don't allow you to carry babies through in a carrier anymore, so whats the point? But we did it! Kiptyn blew out his diaper all over the place, so he had to end up wearing Haley's pink pjs! We made it on the flight with no problems though!

Kiptyn on my back.

Haley, Kiptyn and LT in their seats!

Kiptyn finally passed out!

We got to the airport in Orlando and waited forever to get our stroller that we checked at the gate. We took the monorail to the baggage claim area and our luggage was already out. Then we had to wait for the taxi guy to show up and walk all over the place to find him.

Haley being goofy.

Kiptyn and LT hanging out while waiting for the cab!

We made it to the hotel and it took forever to check in because we wanted adjoining rooms. They were all ready but one of the adjoining rooms, so we took all the luggage up there and relaxed for a bit (as much relaxing you can do with two toddlers).

Kiptyn enjoying his new crib!

After we got some lunch, we went to walk around the hotel grounds. It was really nice. LT decided that he wanted to ride a bike, so we went for it. An adventure that was! Uncle Eric didn't know where the brakes were, but a bit too late. He discovered this after we were going down a hill and almost ran some guy over! Poor Kiptyn was not enjoying himself! We then turned around and called the bike thing to an end!

Before getting underway!

Haley ready to go!

The whole gang after our entertaining experience!

Auntie Olivia and Haley build sandcastles!

Daddy and Haley in the sand.

Daddy took Haley canoeing while mommy took Kiptyn to nap in the room!

We all ended up napping! Mimi and Papi and I went to Walmart that night to get some groceries for the week while LT and the kids slept! What an experience that was! I thought Walmart around here was bad....this was 10 times worse.

Kiptyn's ONE year stats

Height: 32 inches, 98th percentile
Weight: 24.6 pounds, 75th percentile
Head- 18.5 cm, around the 50th percentile

He got three shots and screamed like a champ! But he is doing well. We are just trying to figure out his diarrhea and we will be all good! We are off of everything now, except fruits, veggies and meats. We even took him off meats for a couple days and it did nothing. So I'm not sure what is going on. We have upped his bottles to get at least 24 ounces a day. We go back to the GI doc on the 7th of Dec to check again. His weight has not made a steady climb, so she was kind of concerned about that. We are getting our synages shot this week! Dr. W has hooked us up with a free one since we are changing insurances!

His recent doings:
--waves bye bye and hello to everyone!
--says mama, caca, dada
--said zebra the day of his year appt because Dr. W had one on this stethoscope
--will walk a couple steps with a walker toy and will cruise hanging on things
--is a fearless child! he stands on a rocking chair rocking himself
--he dives head first off the bed, couch and down two steps; again goes back to being fearless!
--just a happy child, everyone just loves him and his smiles and laughs
--has 8 teeth

That is all I can think of right now.

Happy 1st Birthday Kiptyn and Kylie!

A day late, but mommy was busy making monkey cupcake cakes! We hope you guys had a great birthday. We dropped Haley off at school and then Kiptyn and I headed to the chiropractor and to pick out some pictures that we took a couple days before. Then we headed to the dollar store to buy to you guys some balloons and then went back to pick up Haley. We then headed home for a nap for Kiptyn. Then we met Pastor Meredith, Daddy, Mimi and Papi at the cemetery for a short headstone blessing and a balloon release! Then we went for an early dinner at Red Robin. It was all in all a good day. We honored our Ky Ky and celebrated Kiptyn.

Sleepy head!
Today we had a party to celebrate and we had all our dear friends there celebrating with us. I made some awesome monkey cupcake cakes and the wonderful McCabe's made Kiptyn and allergy free monkey cake! He tore into it and was covered in chocolate icing! It was great to see him enjoy it so much! We also received many stuffed animals in honor of Kylie to give to Two Tiny Hands. We are really, really blessed to have such great friends to give stuffed animals to support a cause that is so near and dear to us. Thank you, thank you and thank you to all our dear friends.
